A Personalized Approach to Bald Eagle Photography Workshops & Tours

Adventure through the winter in southeastern Iowa, alongside an Award-winning wildlife photographer as your photography guide and instructor. This is the greatest place in the Midwest of the United States for bald eagles.

On this photography workshop & tour, designed for photographers of all levels, you will focus on the majestic bald eagle, and their fight for food during the cold winter months. Activity level is mild, requiring less than 1/2 mile of walking each day. Walking on packed snow and ice may be required.

When people talk about Iowa, the term "vacation destination" isn't on many non-photographers minds. However, it is a yearly vacation spot for many photographers due to the high concentration of bald eagles along the Mississippi River. Our focus will be to capture stunning images of eagles as they soar high above, dive down from the sky to catch fish, and fight other eagles over their catch.

Some of the following cities that have the best congregations of bald eagles in the United States during the cold weather winter months.

Dubuque - Clinton - Le Claire - Davenport - Burlington - Fort Madison

This bald eagle tour is not limited to photographers. Anyone interested in seeing bald eagles are welcome to join the tour. Camera phones are acceptable for travel companions, but consumer photography gear is not. Travel companions will pay only $750. Due to the proximity to wildlife, pets are not allowed on the photography workshop. Thank you for understanding.

Tour groups are limited to 3 people. The small group size will allow everyone plenty of room for personal space and photographic gear. It will also allow plenty of time for One-on-One photographic instruction.

Groups of 3 or more can be accommodated and should contact me directly to make reservations.
