Want to spend April/May, or September/October somewhere with abundant wildlife and amazing landscapes? Spend 6 Days in Yellowstone & Grand Teton National Parks, alongside an award-winning photographer. Whether you are photographing the wildlife, stunning landscapes, or amazing geothermal features, we will strive to make this a bucket list trip to remember.
Yellowstone, established in 1872 as the nation's first National Park, is a place of exceptional and unparalleled natural beauty. The park boasts a remarkable diversity of wildlife, including bison, elk, moose, Bighorn sheep, mule deer, coyotes, wolves, and grizzly bears, earning it the nickname "Serengeti of North America." This rich wildlife coexists with breathtaking landscapes and dynamic geological formations, making Yellowstone a true haven for nature photographers.
Grand Teton National Park, established in 1929, is renowned for its rugged mountain terrain, pristine lakes, and abundant wildlife. It is a must-visit destination for nature enthusiasts and outdoor adventurers.
This workshop and tour is offered in the Spring during April/May, and in the Fall during September/October. Both are magical seasons in Yellowstone & Grand Teton National Parks.
Spring offers first looks at bears coming out of their dens with cubs. An advantage of attending a spring workshop is that school is not out for the summer yet.
Autumn is when fall colors are at their peak, and animals like elk, bison, and moose are in the rutting season. Grizzly bears and wolves are in their prime, showcasing full winter coats in preparation for the first snowfall. An advantage of a fall workshop is the departure of the summer tourist crowds, leaving the park open for dedicated photographers and nature enthusiasts.
The workshops and tours span three full days in Yellowstone National Park, and 3 full days in Grand Teton National Park, from pre-dawn to dusk, focusing on capturing large mammals, panoramic landscapes, and geothermal features.
Activity level: The vast majority of the photographs will be taken in close proximity to the vehicle. If desired, the ability to hike approximately 1 mile throughout the day for short excursions to different areas.
This Yellowstone & Grand Teton photography workshop & tour is not limited to photographers. Anyone interested are welcome to join the tour. Camera phones are acceptable for travel companions, but consumer photography gear is not. Travel companions will pay only $1250. Due to the proximity to wildlife, pets are not allowed on the photography workshop. Thank you for understanding.
Tour groups are limited to 3 people. The small group size will allow everyone plenty of room for personal space and photographic gear. It will also allow plenty of time for One-on-One photographic workshop instruction. Photographers of all levels of experience are welcomed.
